Fendi has brought its charity Peekaboo Project to China.
The initiative, which kicked off in 2014 in the U.K. and then moved on to Japan and South Korea the following year, now sees the involvement of six Chinese personalities. They were asked to customize a Peekaboo bag.
For this edition, Fendi tapped model Liu Wen; Olympic diver Guo Jingjing; actress Angelababy; presenter Yang Lan; artist Liang Yuanwei, and Oscar-winning art director Tim Yip.
The six one-of-a-kind creations will be on sale at the Fendi online store from Friday. Proceeds will benefit six charity organizations selected by the personalities involved in the project.
“We are excited to finally bring the Peekaboo Project to China, especially working with such talented icons and leaders in their own fields who embody Fendi with their strong personalities,” said Fendi accessories and men’s creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi. “Such initiative does not only allow these people to customize the Peekaboo of their dreams, but it will also help raise valuable funds for the charities they have chosen, which is something we strongly believe in.”
